Join Maria Dolores Saldaño of Lola Tour Company and idiomART for another incredible traveling workshop.
This time, you will travel to the village of Huizhil in the outskirts of Cuenca where you will join ceramicist, Marcela Cardenas, who will teach you how to mold clay and make a simple incense burner. You will also walk around the property, breathe in the fresh air, and eat a home-cooked meal.
The second day of the workshop will be at idiomART, where you will paint your piece then Marcela will fire it up in the ceramic oven.
By the end of this incredible adventure, you will have gotten out of town, learned how to create something with clay, and take home your own piece of art made with your own hands!
Day 1 – Trip to Huizhil: Feb. 14 from 8 AM – 4 PM
Day 2 – Painting piece at idiomART: Feb. 28 from 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM
(We have to wait 15 days between day 1 and day 2 so your piece can dry and be ready for painting.)
Cost is $80 and includes everything!
(Transportation to and from Huizhil, lunch and snack at Huizhil, materials, firing ceramic in oven all included.)
There is room for only 5 people, so sign up today!
