The Mayor’s Office of Cuenca, its Municipal Directorate of Culture, Recreation and Knowledge and the Emerging Urban Art and Design Encounter Vadeart, invite you to the film programming of the Encounter of the Other Cinema (EDOC).
Thanks to the EDOCs we have a schedule of screenings, which showcase the talent and trajectory of Ecuadorian and foreign producers, directors and filmmakers.
The film screenings begin at the Teatro Sucre, with the presentation of the Ecuadorian production “Las mujeres deciden” by Xiana Yagó and “Los fantasmas del Caribe” by Felipe Monroy, which originates from Switzerland, France and Colombia. These films will be broadcasted on Wednesday, December 15 from 7:00 pm.

On Thursday, December 16 we will have the participation of three nationally and internationally recognized filmmakers: Ecuadorian Nora Salgado with her film “Torero” and Uruguayans Federico Borgia and Guillermo Madeiro with their audiovisual production “El campeón del mundo”. The screenings will take place from 6:30 pm at the Sucre theater.

To finish with the schedule of the presentation of these recognized audiovisual productions, the perfect stage has been set at the Antigua Escuela Central, on Saturday December 18 at 7:00 pm with the transmission of the film “Criszamver” produced and directed by Eduardo Fabio HenrÃquez Mendoza and culminate with the participation of talented Ecuadorian filmmakers: the Super Cuy Collective (Florencia Luna, Juan Manuel Crespo, Matteo Rubbettino) with their film “La primera puerta” at 8:30 pm.

The objective of the current municipal administration is to provide cuencanos, cultural and artistic spaces to share with the family. That is why this agency invites citizens to participate in this program prepared in the framework of the Meeting of Art and Urban Design Emerging Vadeart.
