For our 3rd ABYAVIVA dialogue, we will discuss Fair Trade Artesanía: Identity vs. Folklore.
Mena Mogrovejo is a textile designer and coordinator of the Women’s Provincial School of Popular Arts & Trades. She will discuss how fair trade artesanía practices are helping conserve culture and the planet and how they promote sustainable, conscious economy.
We will also have a Fair Trade Artesanía Feria with various artisan stands who are a part of the Maki Fair Trade group and Pakariñana Social Tourism Organization. The feria is a small sample of the different fair trade items that are for sale with Maki.
