§ I · Careers cuenca · hiring continuously

Come and learn this properly.

Two roles, and one of them leads to the other. Most people here start as an assistant, learn the business from the inside, and train into the agent role on live deals. If you arrive already able to sell, you can skip the queue.

§ II · The two roles

Where you'd start.

§ III · The path

Assistant today, agent later.

Most agencies in Cuenca hire an assistant to be an assistant forever. We don't. The assistant role is where you learn how a deal actually works, from the listing going online to the day everyone signs at the notaría, and it's the doorway to the agent role for anyone who wants it.

Training isn't a classroom. When you're ready you shadow Michelle, our lead agent, through real client work. First listing appointment. First hard negotiation. First close where something goes wrong at the last minute. You do it beside her until you can do it alone.

But, we won't pretend it's automatic. It happens when you're ready, not on a calendar, and some people would rather stay on the marketing side and get very good at that instead. Both are fine. Tell us which one you're aiming at when you write to us.

§ IV · Why here

What's different about us.

Clients come to us as well as to you

Our websites and our content bring in buyers, sellers, owners and renters every week who are already looking at Cuenca. A lot of them write in English and can't read a Spanish listing, so they arrive at us rather than at the market.

Everything lives in one place

We built our own software, Nest, because we were losing leads in WhatsApp threads nobody could find. Every client, property, message and deal now lives in it. Nothing depends on somebody remembering.

You get paid properly, and on time

Facturas, IVA and retenciones all run through our accounting, and your commission is calculated the day the deal is created so you can see the number before the money moves.

A bilingual agency, run by two people who moved here

Michelle is Ecuadorian, Jason is Australian, and we've raised four kids in Cuenca. We answer the questions new arrivals ask because we asked them first.

§ VI · Apply

We're hiring for both roles, continuously.

So it's worth writing to us even when you don't see it advertised anywhere. Read the role you want first, then send us what it asks for. It tells us more than a CV does.

Conversations stay between us. If you're working somewhere else right now and need that handled quietly, we understand completely.
