Charming Furnished Apartment

About this property

This one-bedroom apartment sits on the second floor of a historic building in central Cuenca, and its original architecture is the first thing you notice. The painted wood-beam ceiling runs the full length of the main space, with stenciled floral motifs between dark timber beams that have clearly been there for well over a century. Wide-plank hardwood floors carry the warmth throughout, and tall arched doorways connect the rooms with a quiet elegance that modern construction rarely achieves. The living area is generous, with room for a full sofa, a small dining table, and still enough open floor to breathe. Light comes in through large arched windows fitted with original wooden shutters, and the space stays bright without feeling exposed. A separate kitchen area is set against a full exposed-brick wall, fitted with counter space, a gas hob, microwave, and a compact refrigerator. The round wooden dining table sits right at the threshold between the two spaces, which gives the kitchen an easy, social feel. The bedroom is calm and well-proportioned, with the same beamed ceiling overhead and a pair of arched windows that let in soft daylight. The furnishings are simple and restful: a double bed with matching side tables and warm lamp light on both sides. A large arch-framed shelving unit near the entrance adds storage and a bit of character without overwhelming the room. The apartment is fully furnished and move-in ready. Pets and smoking are not permitted. This is a rare chance to live inside a piece of Cuenca's architectural history without sacrificing everyday comfort.
