The Cuenca International Chorale will present its annual Christmas concert this year on both Monday and Tuesday, December 18th and 19th at the Old Cathedral on Parque Calderon at 7:30 pm. This year, the Chorale will be joined by the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Michael Meissner as well as by the Coro Infantíl from the Conservatorio “José Maria Rodriguez” of the city of Cuenca. Under the direction of Andrea Lyman and accompanied by Sheila Johns, this diverse 42-voice chorale made up of Cuencanos and ex-pats from several countries will perform a delightful Christmas program featuring traditional and familiar seasonal selections in Spanish, Latin, German, and English. The Cuenca Symphony will also perform the Sinfonía from the Bach Christmas Cantata. The concerts will conclude with bilingual carol singing for all. Admission is free, but donations to support our future concerts will be gratefully accepted. Plan to arrive early to ensure getting a seat!
