Join idiomART and CCC Spanish for another incredible Cultural Road Trip!

The pueblo of Jima is just 45 km from Cuenca. It boasts a beautiful, historic center with well preserved traditional homes and corridors that lead you through the town. The famous historical figure, Simón Bolívar stayed there for a time as well. The pueblo is a cultural heritage site in Ecuador and its name originates from the Cañari word, Zhima, which means corn.

On this cultural road trip, you will experience the beauty and tranquility of this cultural heritage site. You will go on a short, 20-minute walk to the Zhimazhuma Lookout (Loma de Maíz) and Cañari cemetary. From there you will visit the historic center and ancient church. After enjoying a delicious lunch (vegetarian options available!), you will get to taste a variety of artisanal fruit wines at a local finca. You will come home in the afternoon with great stories to tell your friends!
