      November is shaping up to be a very exciting month and we have so many fun activities planned!

      Here’s what we have in store for you…

      Tuesday, Nov. 15
      3:00 – 5:00 pm
      Holiday Blues: Overcoming Sadness During the Holidays Workshop
      – learn how to identify the cause of your emotions and practical tools to overcome your sadness during the holiday season. Led by Lysa Allman-Balwin.

      Wednesday, Nov 16
      5:00 – 7:00 pm
      Art Opening
      – Jane Hiltbrand “Ecuador Encantador” – a collection of photos that portray Ecuadorian culture and Jane’s love and enjoyment of this incredible country
      – Nancy Galloway “Fun with Fabric” – A collection of quilted fabric art (quilts, wall hangings, furniture, clothing and more). A meditative journey of patterns, colors and textures.
      No entrance fee; no reservations

      Thursday, Nov. 17
      5:00 – 7:00 pm
      The Spoken Word
      – Authors from the Cuenca Writer’s Collective will read pieces they have written. Authors include: Frances A. Hogg, Carolyn V. Hamilton, Jeremiah reardon, Mike Casto, Ruth Morris, Duane Connell, Sandra Beaumont, and Alex Cherniack
      $5 at the door (includes a free wine, beer or soda)

      Friday, Nov. 18
      10:00 – 3:00 pm
      Improvisation Patchwork Workshop
      – Join artist Nancy Galloway in this 1-day workshop and learn how to design your own free form blocks using scraps. You will build on Log Cabin and Drunkard’s Path, as well as some free form scrap quilting.

      Saturday and Sunday (Nov. 19 & 20) the cast of the Fishbon production, Vaudeville Hijinks, will be performed in front of two sold out crowds!

      Saturday, Nov. 26
      2:30 pm
      Drum Circle
      – bring your drums and percussion instruments and join us for our monthly drum circle. All ages and levels welcome. Dancers, singers, listeners welcome too!

      Sunday, Nov. 27
      3:00 pm
      Patio Sessions Concert: Canela Club Band
      – the Canela Club Band is coming back to idiomART and we are thrilled! Last year they played in our garden and we all had so much fun. They play an incredible mixture of Latin American and Tropical music that is sure to get your toe tapping and your dancing feet itching!

      Wednesday, Nov. 30
      6:00 – 8:00 pm
      Improv Storytelling Open Mic
      – Our first Storytelling Open Mic was a huge success and every agrees that we need to continue doing it, so…. we’re excited to announce our 2nd Improv Storytelling Open Mic!
      This is an opportunity for you to practice telling your stories in public and/or listen to others.
      $5 at the door
      No reservations needed

      As always, every Tuesday from 11:00 – 12:30 pm, the ukulele group meets. It’s led by professional musician Karen Lynn-Kennedy.
