      Felix Salinas

The weather is up and down.  Hot and cold.  Hard to decide just what to cook.  Well King Smokehouse has solved the problem.  Felix is sharing his oh so yummy Cheesy Turkey Pan.  Yes, a one pan dinner that is sure to please AND made and served in the same pan.  Now that’s good eating. The best news is? Two pounds of his ground turkey (for only $25 great deal alone) comes with a free Carolina Country Cornbread Mix.

      Felix’s Cheesy Turkey Pasta

      1 Tablespoon oil

1 pound ground King Smokehouse turkey

      1 onion diced

      3 cloves garlic minced

2 cups chicken broth or 2 cups water with 2 chicken bullion cubes

      1 cup whole milk

¾ teaspoon dry mustard powder (or ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard)

      ½ teaspoon paprika

      ½ teaspoon black pepper

2 ½ cups pasta shells uncooked (or elbow macaroni) or any hearty pasta

      1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 ½ cups King Smokehouse Melty cheddar cheese shredded

      2 tablespoons parmesan cheese grated

Brown ground turkey, onion, and garlic in oil in a pan until no pink remains. Stir in broth, milk, dry mustard, paprika, and black pepper. Bring to a boil. Add pasta and reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook 10-12 minutes or until pasta is tender. Combine cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water and whisk into the simmering sauce. Simmer 1 minute more. Remove from heat and stir in cheese. Top with more grated cheese.  Buen proveccho. Serve with a simple Green Salad and Carolina Country Cornbread for an unbeatable meal.
