Join artist, Janda Grove, for an interesting Salon Lecture called “Women Artists, Then and Now” where she will present a slideshow featuring works of art created by women throughout history. Starting in 1610 with Artemisia Gentileschi and continuing through the present day, we will see works of women artists who have been recognized and many who are generally unknown.
Janda Grove has been an oil painter for more than 30 years. She is from the U.S. and has lived in Ecuador for 10 years. She spearheaded the “Transferencia: Impressions of Cuenca” project in benefit of the Casa Maria Amor women’s shelter livelihood training program Mujeres Con Exito. To learn more, visit jandagrove.com
*this month we will have our salon just as the sun goes down so we can see the slideshow presentation clearly. It should last 2 hours or less. We will call cabs for those who need one.
**complimentary coffee and hot tea
