This concert will be an exciting musical journey to Venezuela, which is the birthplace of some of the most revered and celebrated music in Latin America. They will share their wonderful culture with their unique repertoire of Venezuelan music with some lively iconic music from Latin America and the Caribbean sprinkled throughout.

The band is comprised of 3 world-class musicians from Venezuela.
Francisco Polo: First Chair Timpanist of the Carabobo Symphony Orchestra and the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Caracas. He has over 35 years of musical experience as a percussionist in Venezuela, Colombia, and now Ecuador! He has played in a variety of musical groups since arriving to Cuenca.
Maryangel Blanco: Venezuelan singer, mezzo-soprano, and connoisseur of a wide musical repertoire; everything from Jazz to Flamenco, Bossanova to bolero, trova and more! She has studied music her entire adult life and has played with orchestras in Venezuela. In Cuenca she is known for her flamenco performances with Son Autana and the Jim Gala Quartet. She is a spectacular musician, teacher, singer, and performer!
Héctor Hernández: Venezuelan guitarist who adopts a mixture of musical genres such as Bossa, flamenco, and Latin American trends. He is most known for her performances with the group Son Autana in Cuenca.
