Venezuelan cellist Yackson Sánchez, ex member of the Simon BolÃvar orchestra with whom he toured north and south America, Europe and Asia under the baton of Maestro Gustavo Dudamel. Sánchez has had the opportunity to work with some of the best conductor in the world such as Simon Rattle, Claudio Abado, Daniel Barenboim, Krzysztof Penderecki, among others. Currently he takes the principal position of cello in the Symphonic orchestra of Cuenca.
Classical guitarist David Vázquez from Cuenca, recipient of the Andres Segovia Award from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music conservatory in New York and graduated with honors from the Conservatorio G.B. Martini in Bologna, Italy. Has won national and international competitions such as Concurso de guitarra ciudad de Quito (first prize), Caneres competition in Vienna (second prize), Campus delle Arti in Rome (third prize).
Sánchez and Vazquez originally formed the duo in 2020 but due to the pandemic their concert engagement had to be reprogrammed. After three years out of the scene they come back with a varied and interesting repertoire that goes from Latin American to European composers, from classical and romantic repertoire to contemporary and traditional music.
