EMILY WAGNER is a Michigan native and trained under scholarships at the Flint Youth Ballet, Virginia School of the Arts, and the American Ballet Theater. However, her most influential training came from Sabrina Pillars, friend and mentor, of the New York City Ballet.
Wagner’s dance career began to blossom when she received an invitation to dance with American Ballet Theater’s Studio Company. Since then, she has performed both nationally and internationally for some of the most celebrated ballet companies, including ABT, Salzburg Ballet, Ballet Austin, Eglevsky Ballet, Ballet Noir, Terra Firma Dance Theater, Pennsylvania Ballet, and Ballet X, among others.
Notable performances include performing Peter Breuer’s Bolero in Salzburg, Austria with the Salzburg Ballet (2005), the Movement Network of Amsterdam in the Netherlands (2005 – 2007) and dancing as the Vixen, with critical acclaim, in New York Philharmonic’s celebrated production, The Cunning Little Vixen (2012). In perhaps her most exciting moment to date, Wagner also performed in Monte Carlo for the Prince of Monaco in 2009.
PAÚL GARCÍA is a performer, dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher from Cuenca with fifteen years of experience. He graduated with a Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance degree from the Danzarte Training Center in Quito, Ecuador.
He has performed in notable ballets in Portugal, Spain, Venezuela, Chile, France, China, and Mexico. From 2007-2016, he was part of the cast of the National Dance Company of Ecuador as a principal dancer and was the choreographer and dancer in the main role of the Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Ballet Gala with the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra from 2017-2020.
He currently works as Director of the Lumiére Dance Collective in the city of Cuenca.
