It’s our birthday and we want to celebrate with all of you who have made it possible for us to make it this far!
Over the last four years, so many incredible things have happened….art shows, classes, salons, live music, pop-ups, horse races…too many things to list!
So, how are we going to celebrate? Well, with art exhibitions of course!
We will kick it off with local artist, Mazhyx, and her opening of the exhibition “Oracle”. Mazhyx was one of the first artists to receive a scholarship from idiomART years ago. Since then, she has gone on to have a number of exhibitions, including one at the Biennial in Cuenca! We are so excited to have the privilege of showing these works with you. “Oracle” is a journey into a realm of magic in order to connect images, words, sensations and feelings with the divine we carry within.
But that’s not all!
We will also kick off our 12-month long photographic exhibition showcasing some of the many moments that have made idiomART what it is today. Photographer, podcaster and friend of the arts, Scott Cushing, has been chronicling the “Life of idiomART” over the years. Each month he will change out his exhibition to showcase different artists and events. This is a wonderful opportunity to take a walk down memory lane with us. The opening of this exhibition is going to be a real treat that you won’t want to miss!
We will also have a cash bar and maybe another surprise or two in the mix!
We hope to see you here because, after all, we’re celebrating you as well! Together, we have been a part of creating this ever growing community at idiomART and we couldn’t have gotten this far without the love and support of each and every one of you!
To top it off, idiomART resident artist, Daniel Williams’ exhibition “Jaded.” is still on display so, if you haven’t seen it already, you’ll get a chance to before it ends!
The anniversary celebration is Friday, September 24 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.
Covid safety measures apply.
