Death Café is a laid-back gathering where we have open discussions about death. No agendas, objectives, or specific themes here. It’s more like a group chat than a grief support or counseling session.
The Death Café concept originated in England back in 2011, with the aim of raising awareness about death and helping people live their lives to the fullest. Since then, Death Cafes have spread across the globe as a non-profit movement. People, often strangers, come together over tea or coffee and sometimes also good cake or snacks to have conversations about death, dying, and how it all relates to our own mortality.
This movement has grown rapidly, and people have come to realize that discussing death is truly a valuable gift for life.
