The Ministry of Culture and Heritage and the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of maestro Augusto Carrión Rodas, will join the winner of the international reality show “Yo Soy” of the Chilevision network, Roberth Ordóñez, known as “Ecuadorian Camilo Sesto”, and Mariachi Sol de América to present a concert in tribute to mothers at the Teatro Casa de la Cultura Núcleo del Azuay next Friday, May 12 at 8:00 pm.
Roberth Ordóñez, originally from Loja, has been passionate about music and singing from an early age. He represented Loja in the reality show “La Hora Nacional” at the age of 13, placing third nationally. In 2018, he won the reality show “Yo Me Llamo” of the Teleamazonas network, imitating Camilo Sesto, and now he is the current winner of the international reality show “Yo Soy”, interpreting the famous Spanish singer.
Mariachi Sol de America, led by maestro Patricio Mora Yanza and director Cristian Tacuri, has been a perfect complement to the Cuenca Symphony Orchestra in countless presentations. They have participated in several high level festivals and concerts, and recently represented Cuenca and Ecuador at the Encuentro Internacional del Mariachi y la Charrería in the city of Guadalajara, Mexico.
Tickets for the concert are available at Almacenes El Surtido and La Victoria, and the event is sponsored by the Yanuncay Rotary Club, Radio Cómplice, Casa de la Cultura Núcleo del Azuay, TRYP by Wyndham Cuenca Zahir and Mariachi Sol de América.
