We have a spectacular art exhibit for the month of October with Cuenca watercolor artist, Gabriela Bernal and Argentinian ceramicist and archaeomusicologist Esteban Valdivia.
Gaby’s exhibit is a delicate yet bold exploration of the importance and beauty of weeds in a garden. Are they weeds that need to be pulled or are they important teachers that need to be nourished? Her exhibit is in the Gershwin Gallery Hall upstairs.
Esteban’s exhibition is a stunning display of ancestral ceramic instruments that are exact replicas found in museums throughout the Americas. He has been allowed to X-Ray ancient artifacts in order to learn how they work, then create replicas that excite the senses. His exhibit is in the M.C. Escher Salón on the first floor.
