Discover this unique, natural range of personal and home care products and don’t forget to try the range of tasty vegan food.
There’s a lot to like about Gracie’s Naturals. We love seeing their range of natural, organic & vegan products being scooped up by health-conscious shoppers. The owners, Martin & Gracie, are a genuinely nice couple putting in a lot of effort to deliver a different shopping experience to Cuenca.
They’ve found a good balance between having a wide selection of products without it feeling overwhelming or cramped. I do like that they’ve paid close attention to prices and have selected products that are more at the affordable end of the spectrum.
What products does Gracie’s Naturals stock?
You can roughly expect their products to come under 3 categories; personal care, home care & vegan foods.
Personal Care
Home Care
Refill Service
They also provide a refill service where you can bring in your own bottle and they’ll fill it for you. Great way to help reduce plastic waste. They offer the following refills:
- Detergent (for laundry or hand washing)
- Dishwash liquid
- Body wash (Shea butter)
- 3 Shampoos (tea tree, avocado, shea butter)
- Conditioner (Shea butter)
- 2 Body creams (lemongrass, shea butter)
- Disinfectant (Lavender)
Whilst the margins on these refill products are too thin for Gracie’s to include them in the YapaTree Discount Card program, we still encourage you to use this service as there are very few refill options in Cuenca.
Vegan Food
CBD Products
We like that they’ve chosen to only sell CBD products from recognized specialist producers. If you need higher doses, Gracie’s can help you obtain the medical prescriptions (virtually) in full accordance with Ecuador’s laws.
Deal for YapaTree Cardholders
Gracie’s Naturals are providing the following offers to YapaTree cardholders:
- 5% off all products storewide when paying in cash (excludes refill service)
- Free vegan ice cream with first purchase over $10 after discount (one time only)
Note: The last digit of the price after the discount will be rounded (for example, $5.45 will be $5.5, and $5.44 will be $5.4).
Martin & Gracie’s Path to Ecuador
If you needed another reason to give Gracie’s Naturals a try, perhaps knowing that you’re supporting a young, genuinely lovely couple that has moved from China will have some value for you.
They have a different journey than most expats that now call Cuenca home and we believe this diversity makes our community a better place to live. Watch the below Humans of Cuenca video from Capture Joseph to get a feel for their plight:
