El Club del Queso is an innovative proposal from two women from Cuenca with different professions – María Augusta Naula (Sommelier) and Erika Bermeo (Designer) – who complement each other and contribute from their experience and knowledge. Maria and Erika both take care of customer service but more than this, they provide a great experience to their customers.
Why Open a Cheese Bar?
The venture was born in July 2020 in the midst of a pandemic that prompted them to start working on their dream. They started as a subscription for cheese lovers who enjoy moments sharing with friends and family, a good chat around a table of cheese, and gourmet products and wine. At that time, they had time at home to enjoy these things and alleviate the situation we were experiencing. After a few months, in which they could meet their friends again, they decided to offer a physical space to toast this experience to their customers.
What Cheeses & Other Goodies Will You Find?
In the Club del Queso store, you can find the best nationally produced cheeses and also imported options. Their goal is to publicize the high quality of dairy products that are being produced in Ecuador. They complement this offering with an excellent selection of wines. Their objective is that people learn more about the world of wine and cheese, that we get away from the norm and dare to know more about these two wonderful worlds. They have realized that more and more people are interested in discovering new flavors and enjoying the experience of EL CLUB DEL QUESO.
In their menu, they offer tasting plates of cheeses, sandwiches, cured meats and various appetizers to enjoy with a good wine in a very cozy atmosphere.
In June 2022, they celebrated one year in their first location next to Santa Anita Park.
